EXECUTIVE CHEF

JUAN JOSE RODAS cooks with a passion for approachable cuisine and a love of local flavors. Born in Guatemala, Juan came to the United States at the age of 18 and worked under some of the best chefs in Rhode Island.  Juan quickly worked his way up by mastering all levels of restaurant cuisine through hard work and enthusiasm for his craft. He joined Besos in 2012, becoming Sous Chef in 2013. Chef Rodas now runs our kitchen as Executive Chef with a wonderful palate and endless creativity. Juan, along with his dedicated culinary team, designs and executes menus and specials that bring the flavors of the seasons to our little state through straight forward, interesting and delicious recipes.

GENERAL MANAGER

DANA WRONSKI​ was born and raised in San Francisco and learned the ins and outs of our dynamic business in New York City working for Riese Restaurants. There she oversaw front of the house logistics and training for seven new restaurants from construction to opening day.  After returning to San Francisco with her husband, Matt, to start their family, Dana worked for The Kimpton group for nine years managing many of their properties. She opened the acclaimed Scala’s Bistro at The Sir Francis Drake Hotel where she was General Manager. Her travels then brought her to Rhode Island with her growing family.  Dana and Matt settled in East Greenwich and together opened and operated Greenwich Bay Gourmet and Tio Mateo’s Mexican Grille. Eager to get back into fine dining, Dana joined Besos in 2014 as General Manager. With her extensive expertise and love of community she brings a unique combination of caring and dedication to both the front and back of the house which allows us all to be our best each day.
